Frequently Asked Questions
Most people tolerate L. reuteri very well. However, as your gut adjusts, you may notice temporary effects:
- Bloating or gas
- Mild tummy cramps
- Changes in bowel movements (slightly looser stools or occasional constipation)
- Mild headaches or fatigue
- Possible histamine reactions (flushing, nasal congestion, mild headache)
Don’t worry: These are usually short-term and mean your gut is adjusting.
The tangy flavor is one of the things that makes SuperGut Yogurt special!
- Our yogurt is fermented for up to 36 hours, much longer than regular yogurt (8–12 hours).
- This long fermentation lowers the pH, which naturally preserves the yogurt and gives it that tangy, zesty taste.
- We keep the whey – the liquid on top – because it’s full of nutrients and probiotics. Removing it would make the yogurt less tangy and less beneficial.
Think of tanginess as proof: Your yogurt is packed with probiotics doing their job.
It’s completely normal to see small lumps in your SuperGut Yogurt.
- Natural fermentation: The live L. reuteri bacteria are hard at work in every jar. Sometimes they naturally form small clumps as they do their job.
- Thick cream: We use real, rich cream for a creamy, luxurious texture. Occasionally, the cream can thicken unevenly, creating little lumps.
- Arrowroot prebiotic: We add arrowroot to feed the bacteria. Occasionally, a small amount may not fully dissolve.
Remember: Lumps are safe and show your yogurt is natural and full of life.
If you have a weakened immune system or other health concerns, it’s always best to check with your doctor first.
- If cleared, start small: 2 tablespoons per day.
- Gradually increase to ½ cup per day as your gut adjusts.
- Benefits come gradually over time as the good bacteria settle and help re-colonize your gut.
Tip: Consistency is key — small, regular servings work best.
Every jar of SuperGut Yogurt is a living product.
- One batch may be mild and creamy, another stronger and more tangy.
- Temperature, fermentation time, and natural variations in bacteria activity all contribute to these differences.
Each jar is unique — like a tiny living ecosystem of healthy bacteria!
- Supports a balanced gut: Helps restore healthy bacteria and crowd out harmful microbes.
- Improves digestion and nutrient absorption: Reduces bloating and gas.
- Boosts your immune system: Supports natural defenses and balanced inflammation.
- Reduces bloating and discomfort: Helps regulate bowel movements.
- Boosts oxytocin: The “love hormone” that supports calmness and emotional well-being.
- Supports skin and oral health: Helps keep teeth and gums healthy and may improve skin clarity.
In short: Each spoonful supports a healthy gut, boosts immunity, aids digestion, and may even improve sleep quality.
You might notice some jars are thick and creamy, while others are a bit thinner. This is completely normal.
- The bacteria’s activity, fermentation time, and cream consistency all affect the texture.
- No two batches are exactly the same.
What matters most: Every batch is packed with beneficial bacteria, whether spoonable or drinkable.
SuperGut Yogurt can still spoil over time (usually 3–5 weeks). Watch for signs such as:
- Mold: fuzzy patches or green, blue, or black spots.
- Strong sour or off smell: sharper than usual.
- Slimy texture or unusual separation that doesn’t mix back in.
- Bitter or unpleasant taste.
Tip: A small amount of whey (the clear liquid on top) is normal — just stir it back in.
Notice spoilage early: Mold or a very strong sour smell usually appears first.
- Keep refrigerated at 2–6°C.
- Do not freeze — freezing can damage the live bacteria.
- Keep the lid tightly closed.
- Always use a clean spoon.
- When stored correctly, SuperGut yogurt can last close to 5 weeks.
